Restoring Hope Ministries exists to restore broken lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, train local leaders and communities through education, and sustain long-term transformation via empowering economic and agricultural initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

 
 

Restore

In the aftermath of conflict and trauma, we bring spiritual and emotional renewal through Biblical trauma healing groups that introduce God’s Word into the deepest places of suffering. Survivors—such as Elalie—discover hope, healing, and purpose through Christ.

 

Train

In collaboration with church partners and institutions like UBECA, we educate and equip individuals for leadership, pastoral care, and trade skills. Since 2018, these programs have empowered a new generation of leaders to serve their communities.

 

Sustain

We support long-term stability through initiatives like health care, clean water, microfinance, agriculture (piggery and beekeeping), enabling communities to become self-sufficient and thrive.

Why It Matters

Decades of war have claimed over five million lives in eastern DRC, leaving communities devastated and infrastructure decimated. With schools, hospitals, and livelihoods lacking, trauma and hopelessness persist. RHM stands in the gap—bringing practical and spiritual restoration.

Take Michel’s story: Raised in Dungu and personally impacted by violence, he now leads agricultural expansion at UBECA and composes worship music. His life exemplifies restoration, training, and sustainable transformation.

 
 

Our Impact So Far

Medical Clinic Expansion

With support from the annual Bike Tour fundraiser and sponsors, Dr. Emile returned in 2021 to serve his community, and clinic construction continues.

First-time Trauma Healing Training

The training in the region uses adult and children’s trauma materials to equip facilitators across age groups in how to heal and move forward through trauma experienced.

Economic Empowerment through Agriculture

A piggery launched in 2020 and beekeeping was established, boosting food security and providing income generation for the local people.
